When using relays in an inductive load circuit, the contact protection circuits below are recommended.   CR    r = more than 10 ohms In an AC circuit, impedance of L is to be considerably lower than impedance of r and c. CR    Can be used for both AC and DC circuits. Diode    For DC circuits only. Varistor    Can be used for both AC and DC circuits.
